Shalom, Friends is original, but makes use of an age-old Hebrew folk-song, Shalom Chaverim, as a two-part round. The traditional song (in D minor) is written our below, the text translates as: "Shalom, friends. Until we meet again, shalom".

Shalom is one of those wonderfully untranslatable words with multiple meaning. It means hello, goodbye, and peace all at the same time.

For treble voices in two parts (SA) and piano.
