Originally titled "Life's Railway to Heaven," this classic gospel song has been recorded by many including Johnny Cash, and Marlon Brando. Homer Rodeheaver, a white gospel preacher, recording artist and publisher of the 1920's published it in his collection Victory Songs with the words "Respectfully dedicated to the railroad me." This arrangement, employing the bluegrass gospel style plus a little touch of Elvis, tries to capture the spirit of the text, a railroad anthology hymn. For mixed choir (SATB), piano and Bluegrass instruments.
