A piano repertoire classic published in the Russian Piano Classics series. Authoritative editions, beautifully produced with introductions and performance notes by Peter Donohoe and distinctive art covers.
"The print is reasonably dark, of a good size (any bigger and the price would start shooting through the roof), and well-spaced. The editing seems accurate, and the two factors combined make for a very clean edition. In addition, the page turns are sympathetic. Despite being thick, the book has very secure binding and a good cover. Unfortunately, the thickness makes it a little bit difficult to keep the book open without some external support. Were it not this problem, the rating would be 5/5. "Good" is an inaccurate descriptor; "very good" or "almost excellent" describes it better. (and all of the above comments can be applied to the first volume of the Prokofieff Sonatas as well)"
