step 1: choose your scale or arpeggio:
•major
•minor (melodic)
•minor (harmonic)
•dominant 7th
•diminished 7th
•blues

step 2: line up the root marker to the centre of the desired root note - the scalewand® will work on whichever note you choose

step 3: to play the scale, start with the note indicated by the root marker, then play all the notes indicated by the blue arrows, one at a time, going up and down the keyboard
