In 1976, Richard Feasel and his wife Arlene were guest at the Presbyterian Thornwell Home for Children in South Carolina. On the last Sunday of their stay, Richard was asked to lead a short devotional for the children, which comprises the text to Simple Love. On hearing it, the children and counselors suggested that it should be set to music. The song is a gentle expression of the composer's thoughtful outlook on life, and good advice for young people to whom he has devoted a long and meaningful career. For mixed choir (SATB) and piano.
