Who does not know the problem of position-changing? With an instrument as large as a cello, cellists often have to overcome great distances on their fingerboard, thus being constantly confronted with changes of position.

This book (1st and 4th positions) provides an opportunity to playfully gain experience, confidence and pleasure in playing in different positions upon the teacher's instructions. The fourth position is the best reference point on the fingerboard for the left hand. Studying this book will lay the foundations for secure position playing as well as create the prerequisites for playing in the other positions.

After the great success of 'Spaß an Doppelgriffen', Sibylle Stein and Susanne Basler use their vast experience as teachers and practical musicians to impart important basic skills to children and adults in an unconventional way. Newly designed pictograms are given for better orientation.
