"Wonderful works, as a flautist I can only sing my praises about them. I would recommend listening to recordings of Astor Piazzolla's performances for inspiration, which might help put the score in more perspective.

But just a note to the ABRSM who have written this description-- Astor Piazzolla was *not* a flautist (as he is described above in product description). He is an Argentinean composer, bandleader and bandoneon player who happened to write for flute. His other major flute work being L' Histoire du Tango (1986).
