Book 1 is for early elementary pianists and contains 11 arrangements by Carol Matz of themes from 1812, Swan Lake (Tchaikovsky), Barber of Seville (Rossini), Barcarolle (Offenbach), Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Mozart), Hallelujah Chorus (Handel), The Little Reaper's Song (Schumann), Nessun Dorma (Puccini), On Wings of Song (Mendelssohn), The Moldau (Smetana) and Trumpet Concerto in Eb (Haydn). Also included is an interesting section on each of the composers and optional teacher duet parts.
