Each of the Elements books takes an element of music as its focus, in this case harmony, and offers a series of chapters that use that element as a path into different genres and areas of repertoire. Each book contains chapters on Classical, Electronic, Experimental, Film and Television, Jazz and Blues, Rock and Pop, and World Music. Each chapter provides 12 progressively arranged lessons that offer a combination of listening exercises, composing projects and performance opportunities.
