This anthology is the continuation of 'Easy Pieces for Piano for 4 Hands' (BEL 752-10) containing more difficult compositions from the classical period to 20th century music. The anthology is suitable for those who have been studying the piano for at least 4 and up to 7 years. The pieces are supplied with fingering where necessary and appear in order of increasing difficulty. The notation as a piano score makes it easier for both players to understand the music and to grasp the pieces as a whole. Most of the works are not arrangements but original piano compositions for 4 hands thus meeting the requirements of the competition 'Jugend musiziert'. Since Belaieff has always considered itself to be a publisher of Russian music, this volume once again contains several works by Russian composers. The edition was compiled and edited by Julia Suslin, arranger and editor of the very popular 'Russische Klavierschule'.
