'The first movement of the sonata is in sonata form; the third movement is a dance, a Borea, and in it I attempt to capture the feeling of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Borea from the Partita for solo violin in B minor. The work is dedicated to the Ukrainian guitarist Andrey Shilov.' (Brian Wright)
