The work ''Sololis'' for piano was composed specially for the concert organized to mark Poland's accession to the European Union. The world premiere of the work took place at St. John's, Smith Square the well-known London concert hall on 28 May 2004 with Tomasz Lis playing the piano. The work is in the nature of a virtuoso show-piece, full of contrasts, tempo and dynamic changes. Despite many effective passages, appearing to be technically difficult, most of them are relatively easy to prepare. The title of the piece refers to its solo character and to the surname of its first performer.
