An easy step-by-step method of learning to improvise.  Simple transposition exercises and short, structured solos lead to controlled, confident improvisations.  Improvise Microjazz can be dipped into or worked through in sequence. Chord symbols are used throughout, and each unit ends with a new Microjazz piece, providing the player with an opportunity to relax by playing some written out music with no decisions to make.

Press Reviews

"...it should prove very useful for pupils who wish to extend the style and skills acquired in the other Microjazz volumes."
Clarinet and Saxophone Society

"an excellent collection of exercises and pieces not only designed to encourage playing in jazz styles but to encourage improvising.  An enjoyable and useful guide to the genre"
International Journal of Music Education
